I posted this in another thread, but it’s applicable here as well:

My own conclusions as a US citizen:

  • Stay up to date on your personal vaccines (annual flu, COVID, and anything age-recommended like shingles, RSV, etc.)
  • Additionally, visit a travel vaccine clinic for any “non-routine” vaccines currently only recommended for travel to Asia, Africa, and Latin America - those threats will be here at some point as well
  • Have some N95 masks
  • Don’t depend on the US government to keep you safe or heathy - you are on your own

If I had to prioritize one vaccine to start with, I would get the Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine first (one adult booster is recommended). Then Polio.
