I am normally the first to decry dipshit conspiracy theories. However does anyone else find it interesting that they quickly arrested someone who looks not the same but similar to the released photos, with an untraceable 3d printed gun? That gun gives them the lack of need to prove where it came from and a vague air of suspiciousness. Oooh he wrote a suggestive book review. Case close boys?

I find it hard to believe anyone would not immediately burn the fake ID used to book into the Hostel, which they say he had it on him. I would have burned the coffee cup from before the event too though.

Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to Starbucks or McDonald's (24 year boycott) either, let alone sitting down inside. I'd be in Mexico or Canada. Why would he go back to the state of his alma mater? This doesn't make a lot of sense, and like the wonderful Judge Judy says, "if it doesn't make sense, it's not true". I'm sticking with "scapegoat" until I hear something logical.

They did mention engraved ammo? What are the chances he only engraved three bullets?

[–] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I want to know how he engraved them. Did he use a laser etcher?

[–] AhismaMiasma@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I never saw engraved, and some articles stated it was written. Like with a Sharpie. I think people just assumed engraved.

[–] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Huh. Seems like sharpie would come off when fired?

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 6 points 1 week ago

The inscription was on the casing, not the bullets themselves The side of the casing wont get much "action", so the sharpie might just stay.

I don't think the NYPD thinks that hard. And no I can't find any mentions in the article.

Why in the absolute fuck would he do everything else so smartly but hold onto the gun like that? Makes no sense to me
