I don't think it's super obscure, but I home brew beer and it's a hobby where you can really go deep into the technicalities of tweaking recipes, building equipment, and just the overall process in a way that would probably bore the average non-brewer to death.

I haven't brewed for ages. But. It is so good. Especially when yku consider how much you get from such a little price.

I agree, and I have a lot of fun doing it. But I doubt that the average person would be interested in a discussion about yeast attenuation or which water profile to use for a particular style of beer.
