Normally I don't have much time to watch movies, and for the occasional one Netflix is good enough. But once a coupple of years there is a specific one I want to see which is not on Netflix.

Normally I can find it on ThePirateBay, but sometimes it's offline.

So my question is, how to get a movie like "Sing 2" in a easy way like I used on TPB now in 2023.

If you don't need to download it, there's himovies.sx. There used to be option to download, but maybe they had some issues with that.

Na, I'd rather watch it on the TV so I guess the easiest option is to download it.

OK, I checked it for you. In Firefox you can open inspector and then head to Network tab and there get the .m3u8 playlist URL. I'd recommend to check in VLC if it works. If playing it in VLC is all you need, good.

Another option is to download it using youtube-dl. I tried it and it started the download, so that will probably work too.

Ah nice, didn't realize yt-dlp would also work on other websites. But now I'm only 8 minutes away from the 4k version so I'll use that one this time.

Does this website use public torrenting in the background to give the files or do they host the actual file? I'm asking because if former is the case, a leak in VPN, will reveal your real IP to other peers (including copyright trolls). I know kill-switch but that is not completely safe and binding client is not possible when using such websites if they use torrent protocol.

It seems they just use file hosts, although they still do recommend using a VPN.
