Why? There aren’t too many undecided voters who will suddenly decide, ‘Hey, he’s definitely a criminal, so I might just give him my vote.’

And anyone who doesn’t think he’s guilty was already going to vote for him anyway.

Something persecution complex, something something victim mentality.

Those people were already voting for him. No one is saying, ‘Oh no, they just found a criminal guilty of a crime! That’s not the American way!’

Well, a few billionaires and their SCOTUS lackeys might, but we’ll see.

Hint: There is no bad public relations. Yes, they were already going to vote for him. But this gives them a reason to rally around and defend him, which you will see reflected in the polling. They will be more vocal when polled. It’s the same reason all of his missteps and coverage in 2016 helped him win the election, and the lack of coverage of support for Bernie hurt his chances.

For better or worse, media awareness is reflected in reality. What the news chooses to cover shapes our opinions. The best thing we, and by default, the media, could do, is ignore anything related to Trump. If we stop consuming media related to Trump, the news will eventually start covering the things we care about, because it is a business. If everyone in America started caring about the 512 new classrooms being built in Namibia, the news will start having more coverage of that. We need to stop letting the news and media tell us what to think, and start telling the news what we care about, like climate change.
