Korean internet cafes(pc방) are NOT going anywhere.
Yes. They serve a whole meal right to your seat.
Same thing with Japan! Some people even live inside cafes. Internet cafes will still have a niche and function to fulfill, even if they aren't the same as what they were originally in the 90s.
Absolutely! They're the perfect place to crash after a night of drinking but you've missed the last train and can't go home

They charge hourly with about a dollar/hr. They make money mostly by snacks and meals though. In some highly competitive area you can get about $0.6/hr or lower but these days they mostly compete with better food/machines. Some also have dual monitor setup or streaming setup as well.
It has been one of the biggest leasure industry in the country, which is also the reason why esports is so big here.
That sounds like something gamers will add to their “tourist destination”.
Here in Japan they charge by the hour, with discounts if you prepay for 3, 5, or 8 hours
