Do these become jury trials? In the near future, I could see jury nullification of these cases the same way abolitionists did it 200 years ago.
Judge: "You stand accused of helping a slave escape, here is irrefutable proof."
Jury: "We find the defendant NOT GUILTY"
Germany doesn't have jury trials and France only uses them in very rare criminal cases.
