It’s that time of the week again. This time it’s about books you hate to read but still keep reading. Usually I drop a book when I don’t enjoy it but currently, I’m reading a series (Mythical Hero's Otherworld Chronicles) that I absolutely despise with a passion but I still keep grabbing new volumes for some reason that I might need to get checked out.

Does anyone of you have something like that or am I the only masochistic weirdo out here?

I'm not a prolific LN reader (I've read like, Haruhi Suzumiya and that's it) but I just wanted to add that it's perfectly normal to find appeal in hate reading/hate watching something. Sometimes you are enjoying it like a slow motion car crash. Other times it's fun to mock the plot, characters or dialogue. Even though the whole time you might be thinking "this is complete trash" there's something gripping about it. At least for me, I'm more likely to finish reading/watching something that I hate rather than something that is merely boring.

Good point. I think I could look at it in a way where it at least makes me feel something about the book, where often I can barely remember reading something completely average.
