The thing is that he DeLorean DMC-12 was also built from uncoated brushed stainless-steel and it was terrible.
The only reason why people remember the DMC was because it was such a failure and BTTF.
The only reason it was in BTTF was because it was such a hilarious joke that a DMC could get above 60Mph in a mall carpark.
