A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Rules

  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title

What if the only reason countries, like the U.S., agree to arm other countries when they are in conflict, is because international billionaires have placed bets on which country will win? (lemmy.world)

I mean, if the super wealthy are sitting back, in their mansions, when each of these conflicts erupts, and they start placing bets on which side wins, it might play a role in which side our government leaders choose to arm/support.
