36 cents of every U.S. tax dollar goes to social security and medicare. The elderly being the primary beneficiaries of these social programs. That's before we start talking about senior discounts, rent controlled age restricted communities, and a long list of other state, county and city programs designed to benefit the elderly.
I'm sorry to hear about your parents struggling. But stating pure lies is unacceptable.

I accept that your parents are struggling, I accept that you are hurting because of this. I whole heartedly accept the reality you're living in and empathize and sympathize with it. If that's what you need right now focus on that.
