Well it's not wrong ig, the core of the imperial core can indeed always be worse. And it's not going to get better by voting; that'll happen by organizing and mass movement.

The US (and all capitalist nations' tbf) political system only exists to protect capital. Anyone put in power through it showing even the slightest hint of anti-imperialist sentiment (like JFK for wanting to abolish the CIA and giving an anti-colonial speech) will result in their swift removal. It can only shift further to the right.
