I've recently decided to up my security, but I don't want it to be an annoyance for the family to use. I also have an aversion to web hosted things, so I'd like something that is locally hosted/controlled, without a "Setup app"

I'm open to deadbolt and regular latch smart locks.

What options are out there? what do you use? do you like it?

Not sure on the batteries. I got it in July 2022, and threw in some rechargeable batteries, but have not had to charge them yet. Guess they last at least a year then.
