That might not be that much more expensive. I've already replaced my P1 controller due to drift twice (2x$60), which Hall effect sticks prevent.

Are there not hall sticks you can just put in the old controllers that were drifting? I did that with my joycons.

Just have it repaired for a fraction of the cost. I had a stick replaced for like 10 bucks.
