That's inaccurate. The instance I'm on is listed as federated but it was defederated months ago.

Just a guess, but it might be because they blocked "Threads.net" with an uppercase T, so it could just be a bug.

Are those user counts accurate? Universeodon has 48k users but lists 6k here. If it's active count only could they really only have 6k active users?

re active users: they're a large open registration instance, they likely have a fair chunk of twitter people who joined during one of the many migrations and decided not to stick around.
