Where are the spreadsheets showing eery detail of both?

The questions you have to answer to build such a spreadsheet decide the result, not the data. How many kinds of cars are out there? What's their cost vs. comfort, cost vs. performance, cost vs. efficiency or cost vs. reliability? Not even considering powertrain you're already drowning in data, and that's assuming customers are rational. If they were, the "correct" car, SUV, and truck would already be decided.

Well yeah, a "correct" SUV is known as a station wagon but for some reason people hate them lol
