Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Mbin also support microblogging

@melroy Yes it does which's amazing but some people like just having a Twitter alternative that is pretty close to what Twitter is, I don't believe Mbin has an API so that Mobile Apps, sure I prefer Mbin / Kbin but unless you like the idea of a Hybrid between Twitter and Reddit then not everyone wants to go for it. Also, Mobile Apps help a lot as most people access the internet though there phones.

What is Mbin? I tried searching but nothing like what you describe came up.

Mbin is a fork of /kbin, created by the community for the community. Because the development of kbin became to a halt.

Thank you! I did not know that. I appreciate your response :)

I’m sorry, I still don’t understand how to find more information about it.

Edit: the link was not in the response I replied to here when I replied…makes sense now.

Are you familiar with kbin? If so what about the concept of "forking" software?

[–] PrincessLeiasCat@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 months ago

I am, and one reply to me added a link and another said it was a fork because of lack of development on kbin.

I’m all caught up now, thank you :)

It’s been a while since I slung Perl, but I’m pretty sure kbin + 2 = kbip, isn’t it?

Kbin is back, but two better!
