Also, maybe they get petty enough that they want to go return the purchase, but don't want to be seen by anyone they know doing it. So they're ok with be curmudgeons, but they don't want anyone else to know how cheap they are.
Soooo, they get one of their assistants do do it. But that perfect plan ends up taking a turn when....
Ok Larry David's alt, I want it in writing that I'll get a writer's credit if you want the rest of the story.
It would be funny if he could talk them into picking it up themselves (literally returning it)—maybe even its Leon moonlighting as a scalloped-potatoe-returns-reverse-delivery-guy—and the grocery worker nominally injures himself somehow and in some comedic sense and gets to sue Larry or some other sundry hilarity ensues that could have been so easily avoided.
Edit: maybe they settle for letting Leon swapsies into the MasterBedroom
