I'm not saying there aren't people who enjoy it. But I assume the numbers of those who say they do vs those who acutually do wildly differ. You got to keep in mind that there is a huge incentive in making consumers believe that actors and actresses enjoy it.
That's fair but I think your estimate is way off. At less than 1% you're basically saying that nobody really enjoys doing porn. Additionally, I think things like inadequate wages, being forced to interact with crazy customers (fans), and unsafe working conditions would make people want to quit the industry rather than the sex work itself.
You're right, I think it's not the sex work in front of a camera but rather all that comes with it. Including stalking, risk of contracting STDs, highly unregulated work environment...
