Is there any news about when FSR 2 will come out? I saw this which said it was like coming closer to September 6, which was around a month ago. Are there any plans to implement FSR 3?

Correct. FSR 1 can be implemented on a system level (it's done that way on SteamOS). But FSR 2 has to be implemented for each game individually.

Interestingly enough, the Steam Deck is why I ask. I’m hopeful that with FSR 2/3 I can get solid performance on it.

The game seems to be more CPU bound. FSR helps more with graphics.

But, FWIW with these settings I get more or less acceptable performance and visual quality:

vsync and frame rate cap off
in-game FSR: Ultra Quality
everything on low, except textures on medium with x2 anisotropic filtering
anti-aliasing: TAA (this resets every launch for some reason)
