I legitimately thought it was right up until the Newsweek article actually loaded.

This is the correct answer

Pretty sure it's just users that disagree going and downvoting latest comments. At least for me, there was a MAGAt that didn't like anti-trump stuff and gave me 1 downvote on everything I posted from that single comment, on backwards in my history for about a week or so.

I thought it was a bot at first, but then I realized it started right after my comment replying to him correcting him on his conspiracy theory stupidity cult nonsense. Everything posted after that comment received no downvotes.

Programming or software engineering related fields, assuming you have the inclination/aptitude.

Other way around right? Marcus would have been a descendant of Obi Wan since that all happened a long time ago.

I could be wrong though.

ah, but how many dictatorships have you lived in so far?

First time for me too.

😂 It was not, but now it will be.

This is the same thing that happened back in the day with Digg/Reddit. Same shit.

There's bots, or just a broader user base that disagrees, but in general, I've noticed Lemmy being a bit better over the last 2 years since I exodused Reddit.

Anyhow, point being, I do respect your view and perspective that things are getting more negative, but that's a part of the growth cycle of these systems, and the same thing was said at similar times during other platform's growing periods.

Just keep being positive and be the change you want to see on Lemmy and others will follow.

I'm here, I was told there would be cupcakes?

That is fair, but is it due to the VoA group? Perfect is the enemy of good. If VoA is doing some good, why shut it down? Unless the good that it's doing potentially disrupts the bad things you want to do.

It's literally an anti fascism broadcast created after WW2 so they can disrupt the next potential dictatorship.

So it makes sense he'd want it gone, but I'm not sure why you do.

Because they were likely the first mammals. So they've had ample time to evolve their cuteness.
