How much more dystopian can it get? Hang onto your hat!

The US Department of Homeland Security is reportedly considering an “out-of-the-box” pitch to participate in a television gameshow that would have immigrants compete to obtain US citizenship.

Department spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin described the pitch to the New York Times as a “celebration of being an American” and said the show would include challenges based on American traditions.

In a statement, McLaughlin said: “We need to revive patriotism and civic duty in this country, and we’re happy to review out-of-the-box pitches. This pitch has not received approval or rejection by staff.”

You know, in the 70s and 80s we had... fantastical, unrealistic schlock movies like... Deathrace 2000, The Running Man... and these were largely veiwed as entertaining, but campy, implausible, 'created for hollywood' world scenarios, designed to just make a high stakes plot...

... based around a high stakes, life and death, reality TV game show ... with nationwide audiences, run by the government, used as a national religion style bread and circuses for the masses, in a totalitarian future US.

The Running Man is based on a Stephen King novel, and there one coming soon The Long Walk that is supposed to be pure fiction but I see happing in real life 10 years from now.

Yeah this is that sociopath Christy Nome. Out of all of the evil monsters in the administration, she's the worst of them. Worse even than Steven Miller, which is impressive because that guy literally has no soul. No lights on behind those eyes. You seen that clip of him turning off his fake smile on camera? I'm not even sure he's human.

Can we get a dictrict-11 style riot? 👀

Do the losers get shot or just deported to a tropical interment camp?

Squid Game is more fair.

Instead we have Hunger Games and a "Sponsorship" system

So glad I’m moving away from this joke of a nation. Trump has turned everything into a clown show.

Can I pay and/or marry you to take me with you?

Last 2 finalists have to spend 2 months getting emotionally attached to a dog after which they are told to kill the dog by Kristi. First to pull the trigger wins citizenship to join the rest of the psychopathic country.
