You beat me to it. Everyone knows you get Vin Diesel if you accidentally bleach The Rock. The wax museum artists should have known better.
That wax figure looks like a vampire version of The Rock was bitten by another vampire to make him even more pale.
He was great in that movie White Adam.
artist Stéphane Barret had to rely on photos and videos to create the sculpture.
Did they? Because he doesn't look white in any of the results on Google
He looks white to me but I am not American so idk
"Whiteness" is pretty vague but...compare the skin tone on the statue to the pictures. It's not even close
It’s actually pretty close if you don’t account for the studio lights being blasted right at him in most photos.
If you look at the regular pictures then it’s obvious what his actual skin colour is though.
That's why Madame Tussauds is still the best. Their figure of the rock is much much better and skin tone accurate. This one doesn't even really look like him
He should probably send them a picture of his chin too.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Dwayne Johnson has said he will contact a gallery in Paris after a wax model of him appeared to present the actor with a lighter skin tone.
Fans pointed out the figure's skin tone was incorrect, after it was unveiled at the Grevin Museum last week.
The Rock shared a video from comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr asking if the wax artist had even Googled him.
His dad, Wayde Douglas Bowles, was also a wrestler - known as Rocky Johnson - and was part of the first black tag team to win a WWE championship.
The museum unveiled the wax figure in Paris on 16 October and says on its website that artist Stéphane Barret had to rely on photos and videos to create the sculpture.
In a press release, it says the model's eyes "had to be redone three times to avoid too dark a tint making the star's face too hard and erasing its warm aspect".
