This includes groups for Lemmy, Kbin, Telegram, Matrix, Discord, Reddit, etc.
๐ฃ๏ธ Sharing a community:
Please make a descriptive title describing the purpose of the community, and link the community in the post URL or body fields.
When linking to your community, use this universal format: !communitypromo@lemmy.ca
๐ Searching for a community:
Include details about what you are looking for
Rules:
- Reposts: Don't post about the same community more than once a month. However, you can share new details as needed (ex. upcoming event, updated content)
- Instance Rules: Follow instance rules when posting and commenting. See sidebar here
Rule breaking posts will be removed at moderator discretion (ex. scams, dangerous links, duplicate posts)
This community is also on Matrix and Discord, but those spaces are not managed by the moderation team here.
Probably? As I understand you won't see anything on a community until someone on your instance subscribes, when the instance refreshes it'll load the new content
omg this is valuable info
Ahhhhhh I see thanks ๐
If you're the first user on your instance to subscribe there, then yes. Check back later and see if the posts made it over. Also, maybe see if your admin would like to participate in the Lemmy Federate tool so that new remote communities are connected automatically.
Edit: also, welcome! There's little things to get used to but soon you won't think about it. Any other questions so far?
That's great thanks! I really like it here everyone's so friendly it's like the olden days on reddit. I'm getting the hang of it faster than I thought!
it's like the olden days on reddit
I have been full-time here for a couple years now and this and rang true the entire time.
I like that one of the first things I see is The UX of LEGO Interface Panels - you've got yourself another subscriber!
