Presumably the reference is to Danielle Smith, the Alberta Premier, who probably isn't relevant to this specific article.

Well, I read the article and If you read even the first line of the article, her name is mentioned in it. She's absolutely relevent and is mentioned throughout the article as well.

I didn't read the article, but I will concur that Smith is a subject mentioned within because I feel like it.
