Sculpted spells on Druid for npc.
I really struggle to use druid spells because it feels like every spell they got do aoe.
I am not asking for my team, they have to walk it off but I ask for every npc.
I am tired that druid ends her turn with full spell slots because she can’t cast a single spell that won’t cause neutral npc not demanding her head.
I wonder if there is the same problem for the tabletop RPG or they made an unfortunate adjustment compared to it.
It’s the same in 5e so it happens quite often that druids accidentally hit other players.
But in those cases you hit npc, you can yell to npc(dm) sorry! And not get whole town to kill you because you didn’t count the how far the aoe goes.
It's a bit odd too because there are plenty of other games where there is a certain threshold before it counts your actions against an NPC as hostile.
If you're in combat and accidentally swing at an NPC once, it should be forgiven. If you do it twice in a row or maybe three total times throughout the course of a fight, then it should be considered intentionally hostile and they turn on you.
I always "accidentally" drop a fireball on the Dark Justiciar bones when Balthazar summons his guys to fight them with me. Gets rid of a few of Balthazar's summons for later when I kill him in his office.
It is, low level as a land druid on 5e my goto spells were the flaming sphere, spike growth and call lightning.
If you're in a crowded area, heat metal is very reliable.
But as a rule, unless you're a wizard or you explicitly build for it, the AOE nature of spells is going to be a problem.
