Second attempt to post this, because the first one somehow got the wrong link attached.

I just picked up $270 worth of classic, isometric RPGs for chump change thanks to Humble Bundle. Believe it or not I'm 33 years old and have never actually played any of these before.

So I'm wondering where I should start. It doesn't look like there's much story between the games of different titles, but they do seem to share a universe? Should I just fire up the oldest one and play them in release order, or would one of the later games be a more accessible entry point for someone new to the genre?

I appreciate any input on my dilemma!

Hey, Patient Gamers!

A while ago I bought Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition on GOG and I think it's time to finally try it. Do you have any advice for a new player? I do enjoy DnD and I've played a handful of cRPGs, but I'm not an expert by any measure.

Other than any advice for playing the game, I'd appreciate if you share your opinion on whether you think I should play the first Baldur's Gate before playing the second? I read somewhere that it's not a big loss to skip it.

So I think this is a good one for the patient gamers… I actually already played this soon after it came out and still really enjoyed it, although the world felt like it didn’t have any real people in it the city is just fantastic and visually appealing. I imagine this update will transform the game entirely, I’m looking forward to another play through when it’s out!
