That effort to appeal is by boosting ragebait to get engagement and foster addiction to the platform, in order to sell more ads.

Hence, morons get a bigger megaphone and groupthink takes over. See also the rise of Nazis/nationalism, etc.

Line go up, corpo no care

I think the meme is more about perspectives and listening to the way someone thinks about operating IT is very different from the way someone things about architecting IT

People still think Group X is funny and not problematic at all

It’s next to X and C on the qwerty keyboard, so you don’t have to move your fingers much to cut/copy then paste quickly.

If you click on something the algorithm goes hard on that content from then on. I clicked on a skateboarding short (which I usually have no interest in) and now half my feed is skateboarding, constantly.

One misclick, one hate watch, is all it takes.

Yeah things will clear up just in time when their food runs out. Just wait.

More like that movie “Toys”, where they just want kids to indiscriminately kill with drones for their own power trips while cursing the “goddamn UN”.

Boy did they ever nail their shot with that one.

I googled “suited” but I can’t find any daemons called “suite”.

What happens when we move all the way from manual labor automation and start doing service and information work? Not everyone’s an AI developer

A lot of distros include a .bashrc with common ls aliases commented out, just waiting for you to activate them if you like.

Sometime, probably close to 20 years ago, but perhaps more recently, you heard a dial tone for the last time and you didn’t even realize it would be.

We have Local Calendar now, which is great! Is there a way to add this calendar to programs like the iOS Calendar App, or Outlook, or anything like that?

The idea would be that I would make a calendar more accessible for non-techie users, who don't access HA from a desktop browser often but might want to be able to see/edit certain calendars (light settings, sprinkler timing, etc). I can't find much info about this anywhere; I assume it's not currently possible?
