This is a BFD (insert Biden talking to Obama meme). But seriously, if unionization spreads across the country to more campuses shit on campus is going to get reallllly interesting.

Admins are going to have to figure out where to get more money to (rightfully) pay their workers what they’re owed. Or, they’re going to (likely) cut positions.

Opponents of higher ed are likely salivating at this, not because they support unions (they don’t, they hate them), but because they know states aren’t going to fund higher ed at necessary rates. The only way to make up the difference is by increasing tuition (most likely), cutting positions (also very likely) or dipping into endowment funds (never going to happen).
