I hope it's good but all the screenshots just stink of a re-skinned Stellaris. I'm sure there'll be Star Trek themed DLC but how that will fundamentally differ from Stellaris with a Star Trek mod pack, I don't know.

I would love for people who have it to prove how wrong I am though!

I don't have it, but I hear it is also a fork of an older version of the Stellaris code base so it comes with older bugs and less QoL improvements. ^^'
