Honestly I’d love just a video effect that does the same thing. It wouldn’t be the same, but I feel like trying to find a functional GB Camera would be difficult.

They are very common, big seller, unqiue enough that they didn't get thrown away, solid state everything so nothing really to fail. Like 30 bucks on ebay and ebay is always inflated prices

Wait. The big news here is UVC in iOS 17!!!!! It means you can turn an iPhone into a HD video recorder from an external camera or video source! As a Steadicam operator this is huge!

Except atmos can’t run apps, doesn’t have an IMU with compas/accelerometer/gyroscope, doesn’t have wifi/Bluetooth. I’ve been working on some projects that include some video processing other than just recording video feed.

Also just like in this use case, I can stream the video feed via FaceTime, Atomos can’t.

To use the camera inside a Switch Joy Con would be cool.

Gameboy camera and printer was like analogue Snapchat

[–] boredtortoise@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

And a printer for the photos

[–] LazaroFilm@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The printer can also be used in Zelda DX to print things from the game.

[–] boredtortoise@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

And Pokémon for the 151 Pokedex certificate

You could buy it separate and click it on the Gameboy body: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Camera
