Oh! I got a similar story. My first roommate in college had a Police CD, Every time you got in it started at the first song, Roxanne... He NEVER changed the CD.

I never was a big fan but by the end of the year I hated that song.

I give you lesser known movies that also have popular actors! (And I think they're very good)

"With Honors"

"Renaissance Man"

"Regarding Henry"

Yeah, I'm a big right to repair person. But medical equipment is a different level. This isn't just affecting yourself, if a tech screws up people die.

So far... I can easily see some MBA wanting to add that "feature". They have your driving history, they could easily route someone with Starbucks stops past more Starbucks for a fee.

Funny you mention grocery type items. That's where I first noticed how bad Amazon can price gouge. Sometimes 3-4 times what the price should be.

Amazon has very good deals OR very bad ones. I find Microcenter often equal to or even better than Amazon in most tech stuff.

Your experience is exactly why you shouldn't make sweeping judgement on one data point.

  1. Photo paper isn't really tech. It's a supply.

  2. It's a low volume niche item.

  3. People that are buying it are less likely to care about cost (older) or want it right now. So Microcenter feels they can charge more. (IMO)

That's like saying exploding cars when you're really talking about a bomb placed in a car...

Yeah, VPN at the very least adds another hoop they have to jump through.

Just in case you're serious or if someone else didn't know. Wood does not kill bacteria.

Wood is used in cutting boards because it was an available material that was shapeable, cleanable, and didn't destroy the knife edge.

General rule of thumb, plan on less than half the people you invite actually showing up for any gathering.

Also... Wrestling....

Batteries scale horribly and are extremely toxic themselves.

SOME parts of Europe are cheap some are expensive and are subject to bad price spikes.

The reality is we need everything. More solar/wind is great! But we also need secure stable baseline generation that works. Nothing comes close to nuclear.
