Discussion about the hypothetical scenario of a zombie apocalypse.

Unless stated otherwise, by zombie we're refering to The Walking Dead -kind of undead creature

I'd feel the safest somewhere off the ground. Second floor of a building with the stairs blocked/destroyed or perhaps in a hammock high up in a tree. I don't think I could fall asleep knowing they could just sneak up on and grab me

Hasty: On top of a building, block the stairs or drag the ladder up with you

Planned: Inside a bank vault, barricaded police station, military bunker

Jail cell you can lock/unlock from inside.

What if you wake up with 5 zombies on the other side?

Hopefully you were smart enough to arm yourself before wandering around the zombie apocalypse. A spear or long knife / machete would be invaluable. Point of the jail cell is you’re already inside so you have cover and concealment, the bars are just the last line of defense while you’re asleep.

Then it's going to be a long day.

Yeah my family has a 39ft steel boat and it would be almost impossible to climb on without a ladder when it's anchored. With some plywood on the outside of the deck railings and couldn't climb in even with the bow on the shore. Comes with plenty other off grid capabilities aswell starting from solar panels, running water and heating. It's probably my number one bugout location

All well and good until the Cirque du Soleil zombie troop wanders up to the pier.
