So I have a village in 1.18

Its quite big, has a fence around it. Lots of space between the houses and the buildings.

How close do raid enemies spawn to the village?

And also, would 6 iron golems be useful in an easy difficulty raid? I worked a lot on this village (maxed armourer, weaponsmith, mending books etc)

How do I go about defending it?

This is my first java raid and first raid where I don't have the village as a cobblestone cube

I think the raid can spawn inside your fences, but also has just as high likelihood to spawn outside of them. I would recommend checking out https://minecraft.wiki/w/Raid#Raid_wave_spawning for more.

In my opinion, 6 golems should do great and help out quite a bit! To help protect the villagers even more, wait for them to go into their houses to sleep, then put a block in front of the door (from the outside) so they can't exit at all and nothing can break down the door.

Good luck with the raid!

I did easy difficulty, went very well, everything spawned outside. Might try a harder raid once I find another patrol.

Is a power 4 bow and diamond armour with prot2 at best enough for an evoker?

Yeah I think a Power 4 bow is going to be just fine. Prot2 armor might make things a little iffy, but as long as you're not wearing an Elytra you should be ok! The mobs that will cause the most problems (for me at least) are the Vex, so I try to prioritize those first.

Yea

It should be fine. I should do the pot4 grind tho.

Can it appear as a novice librarian trade?

[–] specter2426@lemmy.one 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yep! Every item enchantment can appear as the first trade, but all enchantments have an equal percentage chance of showing up iirc, so it's just a grind to roll the lectern until you get what you want haha

This... Is gonna take a while. My second librarian took ages to detect the replacementi

Its rolls were curse of binding and punch 1

I only need 1 prot 4 tho, is fishing worth it?

Mending came on my second try with librarian 1 lol

To me, fishing is a great way to get a variety of enchantments, but not really for targeting a specific enchantment, but it's all down to RNG at that point, so do whatever you think is fun and you'll get it eventually!

I'll just librarian farm

Edit

Gotnprot3 Good enough

Edit 2

The raid went awfully. My fence made some blind spots where 3 golems died from arrows, evoker fucked me over too.

Need to make fence taller
